I’m Lauren, Sexuality Clinician, Occupational Therapist and Somatic Sexologist working with people living with disability, chronic illness or injury.
I help people connect with their sexual health, function, identity and expression in ways that feel authentic and possible.
I offer 1:1 therapy across Australia, along with consultancy and training for organisations. My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed and grounded in each person’s unique goals. I use sex-positive, neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+ supportive approaches that prioritise safety, dignity and choice.
My journey into this work began with a simple but powerful realisation; the people I was supporting through the NDIS didn’t know that their sexual health and intimacy could even be part of their care. For many, it was the first time someone had created a safe space to talk about it, without judgment, awkwardness, or shame. This felt important.
So I listened and leaned in. I combined my OT background with further study in somatic sexology and shaped my practice.
Whether you’re seeking tools, education, strategies or just permission to be curious, lets make a plan together.
How I Can Help
If you’ve found your way here, you’re likely looking for reassuring, non-judgmental and respectful support around areas that can be pretty hard to talk about - sex, intimacy and relationships. Maybe you’ve never spoken to anyone about sexual concerns or you’ve been told it’s not something you’re supposed to talk about. This is a space where curiosity is welcomed, consent is respected and your experiences are valid.
My services may be a good fit if:
You’re a person with disability who wants support for your sexual functioning, sexual health, well-being, sexual expression or identity.
You’re a parent or carer trying to navigate challenging conversations, sex/relationship safety and you want informed support and guidance.
You support someone with disability and want to have clearer, safer conversations about relationships, sexuality and boundaries.
You’re a professional or team leader aiming to improve inclusive, person-centred practices around sexual health and relationships.
You know these topics matter but feel underprepared/uncomfortable and you want to build confidence, communication skills and knowledge.
I provide tailored support for individuals, families and teams through assessment, education, intervention and training. My approach combines my clinical background as an Occupational Therapist with specialist training as a Somatic Sexologist. I support people across the psychological, biological, social, and spiritual domains of sexual health and wellbeing, recognising that sexuality is complex, individual and influenced by many factors.
