Meet Lauren | Pelvic & Sexual Health Therapist

I'm Lauren - Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Somatic Sexologist, and Sexuality Clinician based on the Sunshine Coast.

I work with people who feel like their body has become something that happens to them, rather than something they live in. People navigating chronic illness, pelvic pain, or complex health conditions who've lost their connection to pleasure, intimacy, or their own sense of themselves as a sexual being.
- Maybe your GP knows your condition inside out and your specialist is across the treatment plan. And yet nobody has asked what any of it has done to your intimacy, your desire, your relationship with your own body -
That's exactly the work I'm here for.

My path into this space started in the NDIS working participants who had never been told that their sexual health could even be part of their care. For many, it was the first time someone had created space for these conversations without judgment, awkwardness, or shame. That felt important. So I leaned in.
I combined my Occupational Therapy training with specialist study in Somatic Sexology, and over time my practice evolved expanding into pelvic health and sexuailty.

My practice is trauma-informed, sex-positive, neurodiversity-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. I work with individuals and couples across Australia via telehealth, and in-person on the Sunshine Coast.

How I Can Help?

If you've found your way here, chances are you're dealing with something that doesn't get talked about enough. How has chronic illness, injury, pain, or a complex health condition changed your relationship with your body, your sexuality, and your intimate life.

Maybe you’ve recently been managing changes in your health, or you've been managing a diagnosis for years; Perhaps sex has become painful or something you avoid, or you feel disconnected from your body in a way you can't quite explain. Unfortunately, most healthcare professionals aren't trained in this area. Sexuality and intimacy aren't part of standard clinical education, which means many health professionals can not provide tailored support. I have completed specialist training in sexuality, disability, and intimacy, and I bring that training directly into how I work with you as both a clinician and an educator.

This is that space. I am so glad you found me.

My services may be a good fit if:

You live with a chronic illness, pelvic pain, or a complex health condition and want support for how it's affecting your sexual health, function, or intimate relationships
Are navigating sexual changes after treatment, surgery, injury, diagnosis or chronic/long-tern health condition
Experience pelvic pain, dyspareunia, vaginismus, or vulvodynia and want whole-person support
